EmailHub -

As a subscriber to EmailHub, you have a few different options when it comes to sending and receiving emails. The “out of the box” method is to simply use the default email address that each team is provided when enabled for EmailHub. You will see this at the top of Email Settings in the Manage tab.

Bring Your Own Email – You also have the option to use your own email address and domain to receive and send out emails from your team. Let's break down the different sections within Bring Your Own Email:

Domain Verification – If you have an existing domain that you would like to utilize then you are able to do so but you will have to verify ownership first. This section will walk you through that process but your IT manager will more than likely need to be the one to complete implementation. Once verified you will now be able to use your domain in combination with an alias of your choice to complete your inbound and/or outbound email address.

For example, let's say you own the domain @acme.com . First, you along with the assistance of your IT Manager will go through the steps of verifying ownership of that domain. After verification, you will be able to set up as many inbound email addresses (with your newly verified domain) as you choose. IE support@acme.com, parts@acme.com, help@acme.com , etc. Any email from customers coming to these email addresses will now create a ticket or be placed in an existing ticket if the customer has an open one. This alias can also be used for outbound emails as well but the important thing to note is that you are only allowed one outbound alias per team.

Domain Verification

Inbound – The first question you will be asked in the Inbound EmailHub section is whether you have an existing email address you want to use OR do you have an existing domain.

Existing Email – To receive support requests at an external email address, you will need to forward emails that are coming into your external email account. This does NOT require domain ownership and will be set up primarily within your email providers settings. Here is another help article with steps to set up a forward both within AgriSync and frequently used email providers.

NOTE: You can utilize a forward without having to go through the steps in Domain Verification.

For example, let's say you use the email acmehelp@gmail.com and want your customers to still use this for communication. You will add this email in the Inbound section of your settings and follow your email provider’s instructions on forwarding. Once this is down, all emails coming to acmehelp@gmail.com will be forwarded to the default email address we provide you upon setup.

Inbound

Existing Domain – This method can only be used if you complete the steps of Domain Verification. Once this has been done, then you will be able to see your verified domain in the drop-down. Select that domain and specify whatever alias you choose.

Existing Domain

Outbound - This will be the address that outbound emails will be coming from. You can add multiple but only one can be used as the default for your team. The outbound email address will be the default address your team is provided upon EmailHub setup. If you have previously verified your domain in the Domain Verification section then you will be able to see that domain as an option within the drop-down. Select that domain and specify whatever alias you choose (NOTE: this can be the same as your inbound alias if you choose).

For example, your default email address might be support.acmecompany@agrisync.net. This will be the address that outgoing emails will be sent from. If you have verified your domain then you might choose for this to be the same as your inbound email address so that emails come and go from the same spot (IE support@acme.com) or these could be different too.

Outbound

Your Team’s Current EmailHub Setup - At the top of the page you should always see your Current EmailHub Setup that shows you in a straightforward way where inbound emails can be sent and where outbound emails are coming from.
